When I begin to make pots, either wheel thrown or hand build, the form is made first and then I approach the clay as an empty canvas to decorate. My interests are with pattern and color along with flora and fauna. I paint intuitively that allows my brush and mind to flow along with the form of each pot with these images consistently surfacing in my work. I strive for playfulness in the images and work towards a happy and lively piece of artwork. All of my work is fired to over 22 hundred degrees and will be food, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
